After a first initiative in Marrakech in the context of The Greenhouse, in different spaces in Brussels and on streaming of radio Panik, Saout Radio arrives in Rabat with “Saout as a state of mind # 3” thanks to the invitation of Le Cube- Independent Art Room.
In this context, Saout Radio gives a carte blanche to the radiophonic art curator and producer Elisabeth Zimmermann and the architect Salima El Mandira, invited to realise a collective listening session. During this encounter, the invited guests will select a number of works from the archive of the web-radio and will present them to the public. In a melting pot of languages, diving from English to French, and under a soften light, the audience will be invited to follow the voice of the speakers and to listen to the proposed creations. The listening will be followed by a Q&A session.
Saout Radio is a platform and a web radio initiated by the artists Younes Baba-Ali and Anna Raimondo in Morocco in 2012. Today it is curated by Anna Raimondo with the complicity of Francesca Masoero and Chloé Despax with the support of Openvizor. As an evolving archive, reuniting more than 100 artists invited and difused, the web radio aims at being both a sonic display and a space for refection, production and difusion of sound art works coming from diferent contexts and geographies by endorsing a postcolonial approach.
